1. Core role and industry positioning
2/2 Ways Solenoid Valves are key actuators for industrial automation fluid control, and their core functions are:
Precise on-off control: Rapidly switch the flow and cutoff of the medium (gas/liquid) through electrical signals, with a response time of 10-100ms
The cornerstone of process automation: It accounts for more than 35% of the industrial control valve market share and is widely used in automated production lines in hydraulics, pneumatics, chemical engineering and other fields
Medium adaptability: Standard models can handle -20℃~180℃ media, and special models support corrosive fluids (such as acid and alkali solutions) or high-viscosity media (such as hydraulic oil)
2. Structure and working principle
Core components

Media isolation, significant difference in corrosion resistance |
Working principle
Powered state: The coil is energized to generate electromagnetic force, which overcomes the spring resistance and pulls the valve core to open the flow channel
Power-off state: The spring reset force pushes the valve core to close, achieving automatic flow cut-off
Flow characteristics: CV value (flow coefficient) determines the flow capacity
3.Key points for use and maintenance
- Installation specifications
The valve body must be installed in the direction indicated by the arrow (reverse installation will cause seal failure)
The pipeline needs to be equipped with a filter with a mesh size of 100 or above to prevent impurities from blocking the valve core (80% of failures are caused by medium contamination)
- Operation monitoring
Coil temperature rise alarm threshold: ambient temperature + 40℃ (if exceeded, the machine must be shut down for inspection)
Auscultation judgment method: normal action sound response <65dB, the appearance of metal impact sound indicates spring failure
- Preventive maintenance
Check the elasticity of the seal every 2000 hours (compression permanent deformation ≤15% is qualified)
The medium needs to be emptied for long-term non-use, and the coil should be activated once a month in a humid environment to prevent moisture from getting on the coil
4.Troubleshooting Quick Check List
Fault phenomenon |
Possible cause |
Solution |
Unable to open |
Burned coil (resistance ∞Ω) |
Replace coil and check power supply voltage stability |

Valve core scaling/seal aging |
Ultrasonic cleaning or replacement of sealing components |
Action delay |
Spring fatigue/increased medium viscosity |
Replace spring or select high thrust model |
Abnormal vibration |
Water hammer effect/excessive pressure fluctuation |
Install buffer tank or select graded opening valve |
